On Tuesday 16th January Peter joined Thornton Residents, Parish & Borough Councillors to speak against the Developers attempt to escape their 'affordable homes' obligations at Beech Drive Thornton.
Speaking at the HBBC Planning Committee Meeting Peter said
The Developers request to reduce the level of affordable housing from 40% to just 8% is cynical and put bluntly is a disgrace...
... if the Beech Drive development was never financially viable then they shouldn't have submitted an application in the first place!
The Planning Committee agreed with the representations made and voted unanimously to retain the condition of 40% affordable housing on the site.
