Parish Forum

On Saturday 13th September Peter held the 2nd of his Parish Forums with representatives from Parish Councils from across Mid Leicestershire.

The Forum discussed a range of issues including:

Planning & Development 🏘 

Highways & Infrastructure 🛣 

Local Government Reorganisation 🗳

Speaking after the event Peter said

It was a really helpful to meet with so many local councillors, from right across Mid Leicestershire, to hear their concerns and the views of residents.

Given the success of these Forums I will continue to run them regularly!

I encourage residents to reach out to your local parish councils to ensure that their views continue to feed through directly to me as the Member of Parliament

Peter calls on the Government to increase support for the charity sector

During a debate in Parliament, Peter highlighted the growing pressures that charities in his constituency, and across the UK are facing. Whether that’s higher running costs driven by inflation, the increase to the National Living Wage making hiring more staff unaffordable, or changes to Business Ra
