Earlier today, in the House of Commons, Peter questioned the government’s approach to dealing with hate protests, such as the Al Quds event last weekend.
During the protest, people held signs with pictures of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a man whose radical terrorist government brutally killed thousands of people.
Peter was deeply shocked at this and believes that the Government must be unequivocal in tackling Fundamentalist Islamist ideology and hate protests.
That’s why he called on the government to ensure that those who support such ideology are prosecuted and, if they have no right to be in the country, deported.
The Government, in response, said they are committed to upholding the law.
Peter will continue to scrutinise the Government’s conduct over this in future.
