Nearly a million 16–24-year-olds are not in education, employment or training, and this figure continues to rise, which is why access to paid work is more important than ever.
That’s why Peter hosted a roundtable in Parliament last night with The St Martin’s group: a membership organisation that represent thousands of employers, trade bodies and training providers who deliver around 20% of all apprenticeships in England.
They discussed what more the Government can do to support young people and how practical on the job training should go side-by-side, on an equal footing, with traditional education.
