During Wednesday’s Work and Pensions Committee, Peter questioned the Pensions Minister, Torsten Bell on the Government's plans for mandating pension fund investments.
Peter also raised the plight of a constituent, from a modest background, who had worked hard and saved money, only to face an inheritance tax grab on his pension assets thanks to Labour.
Peter believes that people who work hard, and make the right choices, should be rewarded, not punished.
Unfortunately, the minister chose to play party politics in his response.
Peter will continue to press the Government on their policies in this area to ensure they deliver for pensioners across Mid Leicestershire.
