Tonight, Peter attended a presentation by Great Central Railway in Parliament to hear more about their reunification project, which will re-link the train line between Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
These plans would help enhance the heritage tourism corridor and provide a welcome boost to the local economy.
Following the event, Peter said:
The Great Central Railway is a great tourist hotspot, contributing to the local economy and helps preserve a piece of history. That's why I so pleased to hear bout the progress that's been made to extend the train line, which should hopefully encourage even more people to pay a visit.
I will continue to do all I can to support the plans, and I look forward to visiting the railway again soon.
