At a recent Work and Pensions Question Time, Peter raised concerns about the misuse of the Motability scheme, specifically the growing trend of social media influencers encouraging people to exploit the system for free vehicles.
Peter asked:
“It's right that the welfare system supports those with disabilities. However, does the Secretary of State agree with me that social media influencers that are teaching people to gain the Motability system in order to get free vehicles is a disgrace? And if so, what does she intend to do about it?”
Peter remains deeply concerned about the growing misuse of the Motability scheme. He believes stronger action needs to be taken to protect the integrity of the system and prevent exploitation. He will continue to press the government on this issue in Parliament to ensure that the Motability scheme remains a lifeline for those who truly need it.
