It was great to join many of my Conservative Colleagues today to chat about what more we can do to protect our local pubs, and yes even pull a pint or two!
The local pub is a cornerstone of Britain, but the Labour Government is doing all they can to destroy them! Their damaging hike to National Insurance is driving prices up and their ‘banter ban’ will force landlords to police conversations that could offend! The very fabric of the pub is under threat…
This is even more worrying as Mid Leicestershire is home to many fantastic locals, and I would argue some of the best in country! That is why I launched my Best Pub campaign earlier this year to shine a limelight on these fantastic local businesses and ensure well-deserved recognition for their hard work – watch this space as the results will be announced very soon!
