When I became an MP, I launched #FinEd which is an ambitious campaign to embed financial education within schools to help ensure future generations are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed money decisions.
That’s why it was great to attend an event in Parliament to mark #MyMoneyWeek - a national campaign designed to promote financial education for all young people. This year’s theme is about making the most of your money, and gives students the opportunity to explore spending and savings habits, and how additional pressures like inflation can influence their decisions.
The campaign, organised by Young Enterprise and supported by HSBC, has been running for 17 years and reaches more than 120,000 youngsters each year. To learn more visit: https://www.young-enterprise.org.uk/
