Peter asks what the Government is doing to support local Early Years Providers

Many early years providers across Mid Leicestershire, have told me that the Government’s 30 hours funded childcare policy is placing a real strain on their businesses. While the policy is well-intentioned, many providers tell me that it doesn’t take into account things like setting up and packing away time, or the hours that staff are required to train and undertake compliance activities. 

That’s why Peter asked the Education Secretary to review this policy’s implementation, to ensure local providers across Mid Leicestershire are properly supported.
