Last month, Peter reached out to the Chief Executive of the Post Office Group to express his concerns about the potential closure of the Groby and Ratby post offices.
However, he is happy to share an update following communication with them.
Today, the Post Office Group has confirmed that both the Groby and Ratby branches willremain open.
While Royal Mail has made the decision to remove the mail sorting facilities from these locations, this will not impact the continued operation of the post offices. Both locations will remain a part of the network, and their operators have no plans to leave.
Peter is relieved that these important community services will remain open.
