Economic Priorities Survey

At my surgeries across the constituency, one subject comes up more than any other: the cost of running a household. Energy bills, the weekly shop, the mortgage, the fuel in the tank.

The Government faces hard choices at the next Budget. Higher taxes, lower spending, or more borrowing. There is no fourth option.

Whichever route Ministers take, it will land on your family's finances, and I will be asked to vote on it.

I would rather cast that vote knowing what you actually think...

... That is why I have launched my Economic Priorities Survey.

It asks what is squeezing your household hardest, where you think the axe should fall if spending has to be cut, what you would protect whatever happens, and what would do most to grow the economy here in Mid Leicestershire.

Every response is read by my office, and the results will shape the questions I put to Ministers in the Chamber and the case I make on your behalf in Parliament.
